talk to our security expert fran townsend about all of this. >>> hours leading up to a kansas city chiefs player's murder/suicide. jovan belcher was out partying with another woman the night before he shot his girlfriend, kasandra perkins. belcher and oert woman became separated. he wound up returning to her apartment complex. when he couldn't find her, he crashed at her neighbor's house and the neighbor says belcher was drunk. he returned home the next morning, several hours after perkins got back from a night out. the couple argued and belcher killed perkins, later killing himself. >> we will cherish the wonderful memories we have of jovan and pray that those memories will bring us peace as we grapple to understand the unpredictable and tragic ending of his life and the life of kasandra perkins. >> kasandra perkins released a statement saying, quote, we appreciate the outpouring of love and concern for our kasandra "kasi" perkins. our hearts are truly broken for kasi. she was a beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, cousin, mother and friend. please keep us in your hearts and p

strange twist yesterday. >> reporter: this is where john mcafee is staying in guatemala city, that building there. he's up on the third floor. that's really not a jail. it's a detention for illegal immigrants. they get a lot of them trying to get through to mexico and then north america. it was here this afternoon where john mcafee suffered whatever the illness was that he had. he was rushed from here in an ambulance and taken to a nearby police hospital where he was checked out for several hours. we went over. there the authorities said really it looked like he was suffering from stress and maybe was also suffering chest pains. his attorney says it was a minor heart attack. either way, he was released a couple hours later and brought back here. now the question is what happens next. we already know the president of guatemala denied asylum for john mcafee. it's possible his legal team could try for a stay or go to the supreme court, or it's possible he is headed back to belize where authority also wait for him. >>> a northern california man is being held without bail for allegedly

isolated incident. in the same vicinity, close to the city, in the span of 24 hours, rebels claim they not only brought down this fighter jet, but also two helicopters. video posted to youtube shows a trail of smoke and a helicopter bursting into flames. there's no way for us to confirm when and where this happened. these dramatic developments are the result of a pitched battle fought here at the 46 regiment base just over a week ago. for nearly two months, they lay siege to the base after clearing the villages around it of assad's forces and positioning rebel snipers in the area. they waited for their enemy to weaken. the government would try to airdrop supplies from helicopters, they didn't dare land he says. and most times they would miss. and we would take the foot. it was inedible. dozens defected. and even more we are told were killed. the final battle to take this massive base lasted 24 hours. rebel fighters used artillery they captured from another unit on the base, firing it into the building and ending the battle. for this rebel unit there was a treasure trove of weaponr

subway platform, ended with a man losing his life on the tracks and a city asking how those on the scene allowed it to happen. the initial confrontation was caught on video. two men arguing there. moments after this was shot, witnesses say the man on the right pushed the other man into the tracks. the suspect ran from the station. now, police say they're now questioning a man they picked up nearby that they identified after combing through surveillance video. a freelance photographer who happened to be on assignment for the "new york post" captured this haunting photo seconds before the man's death. that's the cover of the "post" right there. you can see the man in the foreground there and the approaching subway train. here's another photo from the "post" website showing the victim on the tracks with the train when it was farther away. a lot of people are asking tonight why the photographer didn't try to help the man instead of taking photos. the "post" says the photographer wasn't strong enough to lift the victim off the tracks so he was trying to use his camera's flash to try and
